Registration

How do I register for the Conference?

  • You can register online at this link. Members can find their registration discount code here by logging in to their account. 
  • Registration for the conference uses PheedLoop, which is separate from the regular MMA event registration system. If you used the conference app last year, you already have an account in PheedLoop. If you are unsure of your PheedLoop password, you can request a new one. 
  • Please contact MMA staff if you have issues registering. It may take us a few weeks to understand all the quirks of the new system. 

I work for a museum that has a museum membership. How do I get the member rate?

  • If you are not already added to the account, please have your museum add you either through the admin at the museum or by contacting MMA staff. To add people to an account, the account administrator can login and follow the prompts to add contacts. Or the admin can send MMA the name, email addresses and titles of the people to be added to the account. Once the members are added, they can find their registration discount code here by logging in to their account. 
  • If you are already on the museum's account, you only need to log in here to find your registration discount code. 

How do I register multiple staff?

  • Because there are questions and permissions for everyone registering for the conference, we would prefer that everyone register themselves. 

Can I get an invoice for all of our museums staff and pay at once?

  • Yes. To get a combined invoice for multiple staff, contact the MMA office. Please let us know if you plan to pay with a check or online with a credit card. 

How do I register for workshops and local experiences?

  • You can register for the workshops and local experiences when you register for the conference. There are tabs at the top of the PheedLoop registration page for each day (Monday morning, Monday afternoon, & Wednesday afternoon) where you can pick what you would like to attend.

I do not see the payment section when I go to checkout. How do I pay?

  • Some computer screens may not display the full checkout page. You may need to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the page to view the payment section in PheedLoop.

How do I purchase guest tickets?

  • Family, friends and colleagues are welcome to join us for evening events, the business meeting lunch, and the kick-off coffee and Wrappy Hour. Guest tickets are available through September 30 and can be purchased here

Travel and Transportation

    Where do I park my car?

    • The Monday and Wednesday activities take place throughout Kalamazoo and the surrounding area, so parking varies. We will send you specific information about those locations closer to the conference. 
    • There will be parking available at the conference center on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

    Is there a bus to the evening events?

    • Monday Evening Reception - A charter bus will leave from the front door of the Radisson at 5:30 pm, and will return from the museum leaving at 8:00 pm. The bus is free, but seating is limited and sign-up is required during the regular registration process. 

    • Tuesday Evening Reception - Charter busses will leave from the front door of the Radisson between 4:00 and 4:55 pm. They will leave from the museum between 6:30 and 7:25. The bus is free and sign-up is not required. 

        Why is there a Code of Conduct and Media Use Policy?

        • MMA aims to be an accepting and inclusive environment for everyone so we ask that you agree to the conference code of conduct when registering. We also ask for your permission so we can use images from the conference for promotional purposes. View the policy.

        Why are there additional charges for some of the Monday and Wednesday activities? 

        • We have made sure to have free drop-in activities during every activity time so all conference participants have no cost options on both days. 
        • Some of the Monday and Wednesday activities have costs associated with them, so we charge to cover those expenses. 
        • The rest of the activities have a $15 fee to help ensure that people attend the activities they sign up for. All of these activities involve a considerable time commitment on the part of the presenters, coordinators, and volunteers. Many of the activities also have a participation "cap" and people who want to attend are not able. So we want to make sure that for these activities, people who sign up, show up. We think charging a fee helps. In the past we charged $10, but there were still many no-shows so we raised the amount to $15. Any net income from the activity fees are deposited in the scholarship fund for next year's conference. 

        Overnight Accommodations

        Where is the conference hotel? 

        Tuesday and Wednesday morning conference activities will take place at the newly renovated Radisson Plaza Hotel at Kalamazoo Center, in downtown Kalamazoo. A block of rooms have been reserved at reduced rates and is available through September 27 or until filled, whichever comes sooner. See the Hotel tab for more information.

        Food

        What meals are included in my conference registration?

        Monday, October 21

        Wednesday, October 23
        • Food in the morning includes light break items (with coffee).
        • Lunch is on your own this day.
        • Wrappy Hour will be at Dabney & Co. and there will be food and cocktails available for purchase.
