Thriving museums require strong leaders, and MMA is committed to helping build the community of leaders for Michigan’s museums. In 2021, MMA offered a year-long leadership series  of monthly online programs to help build skills and increase knowledge for participants. Program content alternated between developing who participants are as a leader and understanding diversity, inclusion and equity, both of which are required for successful leadership.

Series sessions were led by Greg Mutch and Abbey Johnston of AG Collaborative and Katena Cain from Nonprofit Network

Participants who attended all twelve sessions received a certificate at the end of the year.

Plans are underway to bring this series back as well as to offer next steps for participants. Check back for more information or contact MMA.

AG Collaborative

Abbey Johnston (R) and Greg Mutch (L) are co-creators of AG Collaborative, a leadership and people development company operating from the belief that every organization’s greatest strength lies within its people.

Unlocking and unleashing the brilliance of your people is a game changer. We take a stand for co-facilitated experiences that are fun, engaging, inspiring, and transformative - over the long haul. This is what creates better leaders, better teams, better humans.

Abbey works in the leadership space to empower people - especially women - to be big in the world and unapologetic in their leadership. A Gallup-Certified Coach with an Executive Coaching Certification through the ECI Institute at UC Berkeley, she believes our greatest opportunity for owning our influence and impact lies at the intersection of Communications + Leadership.

Greg is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and leadership guru rooted in two core values of authenticity and aliveness that seeks both what is real (no BS) and shakes us awake to the wonder of ourselves and the world we inhabit. In 2019, he got to slap hands with Brené Brown while becoming a Certified Dare To Lead™ Facilitator.
