Social Media Coordinator - Impression 5 Science Center

Full-Time/Permanent Position: 40 hours/week

(some weekend hours may be required)

Pay Rate to Start:  $17 hourly

Direct Supervisor: Taylor Hodge, Communications Manager

Position Duties:

• Manage Impression 5 Science Center’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media outlets.
• Create monthly social media engagement reports, analytics trends, etc.
• Update community calendars with upcoming events.
• Assist with updating and maintaining the website, ensuring up-to-date content and consistency of established organizational tone.
• Assist with publicity outreach engagements, as necessary, and act as a positive Impression 5 ambassador.
• Conduct marketing, advertising, and media research to support ongoing and new communication department initiatives.

Position Requirements:

• Advanced coursework and/or degree in communications or marketing related field.
• Knowledge and understanding of design software such as Capcut, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience and interest in social media platforms and communications.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills with a sharp eye for detail.
• Experience taking and editing professional photographs and video.
• Comfort engaging with Science Center Members, guests, and the public about Impression 5 organization, programs, events, etc.
• Outlook: Creative, consistent, positive, friendly, detail-oriented, self-motivated.
